Carsten Pieper My 2nd album by this French band, again acquired via a Cuneiform Records special deal, thanks a lot!
Here, the band just consists of 3 electric guitarists. Imagine instrumental 80s Crimson without the edges. Another reference that came to ear and mind more than once while listening was Ashra's Blackouts album from 1977.

Mellow? Yes, but in a very good way!
Favorite track: Philharmonie.

Les Elephants Carillonneurs [The Elephant Bell Ringers] features tight, well-written, pointillistic compositions, performed by 3 guitar masters. Very rich and very "progressive" too, with lots of Fripp-ish fuzz lead lines snaking about.

released January 1, 1993

Music composed and performed by Philharmonie:

Laurent Chalef - electric guitar
Bernard Ros - electric guitaar
Frédéric L'Epée - electric guitar
