Not only beautiful and endowed with amazing precision, “Dwellers of the Deep” delivers a double experience: the listener can either enjoy some of the most qualitative prog music I’ve been given to listen to for some years, or dwell on the deepest and most subtle details that, put together, make this album simply excellent. I already have the Stickmen releases and the 3 releases of Reuter's soundscapes from several Stickmen tours , and 2 releases with Pat Mastelotto -Totem and ZOOT . This only scratches the surface as this great compilation proves .
Marked Reuter is a true master .
Anyone with an aversion to "contemporary prog" should listen to Wobbler and they'd realize that prog classics are not just confined to the 1970s. This album is just so tight on every level that if you'd have told me this was recorded in 1974, I'd have no basis for questioning it other than the lack of more prominent tape hiss. Great from start to finish! babayetu
